Case Study: Azemika & Azemika

Boosting Search Rank and Revenue at Azemika & Azemika

Twin brothers Anthony and Nicholas Azemika have been practicing family law out of their firm in Bakersfield, California since 1997. They specialize in delicate familial conflicts like divorce, custody, visitation, paternity, child support, and adoption.

After 27 years of business, Azemika & Azemika are a well-established law firm in Kern County, but their website was underperforming — and they knew it.

They approached us seeking an ongoing relationship with proven industry experts who could revitalize their web presence and drive more business to their firm.

What They Needed

The Azemikas expressed concern over the company previously running their website. They felt the company’s product looked unprofessional and that content was not updated often enough.

They also felt that their previous company under-delivered on its SEO promises — which was readily evident as soon as our team started taking a look at their existing site.

Once we started investigating, we also found that they were overpaying for the deficient services they were receiving.

We knew we could help, so we dug into their challenges and created a plan that would help them solve those problems.

01

Goal

Their Website Design Needed a Facelift

The first was modernizing the website’s front-facing presence. When a customer landed, they needed to be presented with fast load times, professional aesthetics, and effortless navigation. Otherwise, potential clients would quickly give up on the site—and thus the firm—and keep looking elsewhere.

They Needed to Rank in Search Results

The second goal was streamlining the back-end details. The site needed to be more friendly to the web crawlers that index search results.

Their greatest need, however, was an efficient pipeline for delivering the beating heart of SEO: fresh content. Without regular updates, search engines were passing them up for more actively maintained competitors.

In total, we needed to get the web crawler’s attention through solid white-hat SEO practices, impress it with regular content updates, and appeal to potential clients with clean, tight website design.

What We Did

Step 01

Create a Plan

First, we communicated with the Azemikas to determine the scope of their problem and create a revitalization plan that ensured they weren’t spending money on services they didn’t need.

Step 02

Choose a Platform and Rebuild

We decided the best course of action would be to take their existing website and redesign it in WordPress. This allowed us to rapidly deliver modern aesthetics, usability, and performance without changing their established brand identity.

The native SEO tools in WordPress also provided a solid foundation for building a content strategy that would increase Azemika & Azemika’s search rankings.

Step 03

Ongoing Support

The website provides a good foundation, but when you want lasting SEO results like the Azemika’s wanted, you have to keep working on it. To keep their rankings high and growing, we regularly supply their site with new content that matches their firm’s tone and character.

We also stay in constant contact to ensure that we are meeting their needs every step of the way.

What We Achieved

Azemika & Azemika now appears on the first page of search results for family law firms in Bakersfield, California — where we intend to keep it.

  • Their website loads fast, looks modern and professional, and is easy to navigate.
  • Contact information is immediately and prominently visible.
  • News and testimonials are recent and relevant.

This has all translated to increased traffic, increased business, and increased revenue.

Most importantly, we maintain that relationship the Azemikas sought, and we make things easy for them so that they can stay focused on what they do best: law.

Karin remains in constant contact with me about our SEO and website, which is very much appreciated. If anything, I am the one who doesn’t respond to her as fast as I should.”
