6 Signs It’s Time for a New Powerful Website

Have you been considering refreshing your law firm’s website? It’s never a bad idea to at least review the state of your site and determine the pages or components that might need updating. Some firms may find that the design elements they have are so out of date that a website design refresh is not just a luxury—it’s a necessity. The following are a few signs it’s time for a new powerful website:

6 Signs It’s Time for a New Powerful Website

It’s not mobile friendly.

Today, it’s an absolute must to have a website that works well on mobile devices. People now do more web browsing on their phones and tablets than on desktop computers—and that trend will only continue in the years to come. If your website is difficult to use on mobile devices, you will frustrate many potential clients. The best strategy is to create a law firm website with a responsive web design that automatically adjusts to the device on which it’s being viewed.

You have low-quality images.

There was a time when firms would use smaller, compressed images on their websites to cut down on loading time. Today, just about everyone has a high-speed internet connection, so you don’t need to worry so much about image size. Any image you use should be of excellent quality. Professional photos—rather than photos taken on your old cell phone or your digital camera made in 2006—are your best bet. You should also avoid using any outdated animations or graphics.

You have a clashing color scheme.

The color scheme you choose for your website should never detract from its appearance or distract from its content. Less is often more, as the most attractive website color schemes and designs tend to be simple.

It does not function well.

Your website must be easy to use and navigate. All your links should work, as should your contact forms and other functions. There should be no broken images or formatting issues visible. Your site’s layout should be easy to understand, and the people viewing your site should always be able to easily access the information they need. This is probably the most critical sign you should pay attention to. It’s definitely time for a new powerful website if you can’t even work through your website functions! If you can’t do it, then potential clients visiting your site will have the same issues.

You have changed your branding or marketing strategy.

Any time you overhaul your branding or marketing strategy, you will need to update your website to fit the new approach. This is especially true if your site still features your old logo or color scheme.

You haven’t updated in awhile.

Even if your site is functioning properly and you have not made any significant changes to your branding or marketing, it still might need an update just to keep things fresh. The most successful businesses online understand that a website isn’t something you “set and forget.” Instead, you should constantly review it and consider how it could better serve the needs of your law firm and its potential clients.

These are just a few of the common signs that may point to your need to refresh or completely redesign your law firm’s website. Speak with a skilled legal web design and marketing professional to learn more about your options. It’s time for a new powerful website for your law firm if your site fits into one or more of these categories.

Now that you know what your law firm site may be missing, how do you feel about your online presence? What’s your sign that it’s time for a new powerful website?
