We’ve Rebranded, Using the Same Successful Process We Deliver to Our Clients

Over the course of many years, our agency has assisted numerous law firms and legal organizations with their rebranding efforts—to much success. Now, we are focusing this same approach back to our own company, with our rebranding to Conroy Creative Counsel. This new company name, along with the cohesive rebranding strategies we are employing, will better reflect the value we offer our clients.

As we have gone through the experience of the rebrand ourselves, we thought now would be a great opportunity to speak to how law firms can rebrand in a way that better reflects what they do, how they serve their clients and the knowledge and experience they bring to the practice of law.

Our Rebranding Experience

Through rebranding, a firm can influence how others see it, asserting a series of values, styles and ideas. When done well, a brand can show potential clients that your firm is the right choice to meet their needs, whether you practice personal injury law, assist individuals through their bankruptcies, provide family law services, or focus on a range of other practice areas.
The goal of a branding or rebranding strategy is to eventually develop instant recognition, associating your firm with positive feelings. It gives your firm a personality, allowing clients to develop a sense of passion and positivity related to working with your attorneys.

How the Process Worked For Us

We took this same approach when developing our rebranding strategy. We started with a core idea: Conroy Creative Counsel is an online marketing agency that specializes in branding and web design for the legal industry. We also wanted to focus on our agency’s core strengths and differentiators, including the well-designed and customized websites we create and the sound process we use for developing those sites.
Ultimately, we wanted our existing and potential clients to glean one main idea from our brand: by working with us, attorneys and law firms will be proud of the way they look online. That’s something we’ve accomplished for our clients for years.
As with any rebranding effort, ours required a fair amount of research. We needed to determine the best ways to position our brand and identify our ideal clients. This included looking at our “unfair advantages”—the things that set us apart in our field. For example, we’re known for our no-nonsense approach to web design, as well as for our thought leadership in the world of legal marketing. We are also able to leverage a rich history of successful work on behalf of our diverse client base.
After that, we needed to develop a new tagline—a concise, impactful statement that gives our audience what they need to know about what we can deliver. After a lot of thought, we settled on “smart online marketing for law firms.”
Then, after figuring out how we could best position our brand in the market in which we compete, we found the right colors, fonts and images to use throughout our marketing materials—including both digital and print.
Rebranding any business, including a law firm, requires a thoughtful approach. You may need to conduct some research, check out how your competitors are branding their firms and how you can set yourself apart. At the end of the day, you want your potential clients to see the value of your firm, even before they learn all about your great work.
